Freedom Through Discipline

The intangible asset of discipline resides "behind the scenes" where our professionals have experienced and obtained extensive training to ensure the greatest level of passenger safety and security. At KLM Aviation Inc. our passengers' safety, security and comfort are all number one on our checklist.

The freedom of flying a chartered aircraft requires a level of confidence that can only come from extensive experience, professional training and advanced education. All of our pilots and crewmembers are trained to the highest operational standards in equipment, safety and security.

The KLM Aviation Inc. approach and attention to detail on every flight delivers our clients the opportunity to experience optimal freedom and comfort on each and every flight. Our transportation safety and security standards are set, implemented and monitored by our dedicated safety inspectors team 365 days a year.

All of the aircraft that is chosen for our clients is immaculate and safe, from the inside of the cabin to the external conditions of the aircraft to the pilot's license. The dedicated pilots and flight teams within our network have impeccable safety records and our closely monitored by our safety partners. In addition, KLM Aviation Inc. carefully reviews all safety reports to ensure the highest level of safety on each and every flight.

Pilots understand that situational awareness is critical at all times, especially since 9-11. We do not allow complacency to cloud the security measures required for each and every flight and the safety for each and every passenger. Our security department guarantees that unless we meet the highest security standards… we don't fly!

Staff and Passenger Security

All pilots within our network attend yearly CRM (Cockpit Resource Management Classes) to strengthen their communication skills and increase overall safety in the cockpit. As an added measure, KLM Aviation Inc. remains in constant communications with the FBOs, local airport authorities, law enforcement officials and FAA security officials to assess additional safety and security requirements. Effective communications at each checkpoint ensure the following safety procedures are conducted:

  • Aircraft are thoroughly inspected prior to boarding
  • Aircraft parked overnight are secured to prevent access to any part of the aircraft
  • Flight crewmembers must pass pre-employment psychological, criminal and financial background checks
  • Flight crewmembers require identification of all passengers boarding the aircraft
  • Flight crewmembers greet passengers arriving at FBOs with their KLM Aviation Inc. photo identification badge

We take a proactive approach to safety by developing and implementing a stringent safety program for all flight operations and maintenance personnel.

Every aircraft that we charter for our clients must pass a rigorous conformity transition process and once a part of our fleet, each aircraft is maintained to the strictest of standards. Our charter-managed aircraft are held to the same conformity transition process. In addition, all aircraft must pass annual random safety audits to ensure peak performance.

Our Cockpit Crew

We require a minimum of 2,500 flight hours for first officers and 5,000 flight hours for captains, with limited exceptions on certain aircraft. Every pilot holds a commercial license or an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license and an FAA first class medical certificate. All pilots within our network are also required to train at SimuFlite Training International or Flight Safety International, the leading aviation training facilities in the corporate aviation industry.

The KLM Aviation Inc. professional aviation team brings over 100 years of combined experience as professional pilots who are Part 91/135 certified. Our pilots maintain yearly recurrent training and are equally skilled and trained as commercial airline pilots.

When you fly on a KLM Aviation Inc. chartered aircraft… you can close your eyes, relax and have complete confidence that your ride is safe and secure.
